Suryakumar Yadav becomes world No 2 and the only Indian batsman to make it to the top 10 of T20I rankings

Suryakumar Yadav, one of India’s most talented batsmen in the T20 format, has now moved up to the second spot in the World T20I rankings. Suryakumar Yadav has taken the second position with 816 rating points, leaving behind Pakistani opener Mohammad Rizwan.

Yadav has played 22 T20 international matches, In his career so far. In these 22 matches, he has scored runs at an average of 38 and a superb strike rate of 175 and has given some remarkable performances for India.

Although Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya are the most popular T20 batsmen in international cricket, Yadav has made a name for himself and reached his highest career ranking. Yadav is only two points behind Babar Azam, who holds the top ranking with 818 rating points.

The Indian team is currently on a tour of West Indies and is playing a five-match T20 series against West Indies, in which India has taken a 2-1 lead. A superb half-century by Yadav gave the Indian team a comfortable win in the third match of this T20 series.

There are still two matches left in this series. Suryakumar Yadav will become world number one if he scores more than 30 runs in the next match against the West Indies.

Since the beginning of his career, Yadav batted in the middle order, but in this T20 series, captain Rohit Sharma has used Yadav as an opener and he also grabbed this opportunity.

In his short international career, Suryakumar Yadav has shown tremendous potential and talent, and now he is presenting his strong claim for the ICC T20 World Cup.
